Register today for WAMA’s legislative day at the State Capitol. If you want to learn more about the legislative process, drive aviation policy, and share with your legislators the benefits of aviation to Wisconsin, this event is for you.

No experience is required. During the morning meeting, we will walk through the issue paper and provide best practices for communicating with legislators and their staff.

There is no fee to participate, but we'd appreciate an RSVP by Tuesday, April 8.

Tuesday, April 15, at the Madison Club:
The briefings, review of the issue paper, and lunch will be in the Mendota Room at the Madison Club. The address is 5 E Wilson St, Madison, WI 53703, 0.2 miles from the Capitol.

10 a.m. to Noon – Briefings and Review of Issues

Confirmed speakers include:

  • Secretary Sayers, Department of Tourism
  • Mike Ward, Vice President, Business and Community Development, Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC)
  • Toni Herkert, Government Affairs Director, League of Wisconsin Municipalities
  • Collin Driscoll, Government Affairs Associate, Wisconsin Counties Association

Noon – Lunch (provided by WAMA)

1 p.m. – Office Visits with Your Legislators

WAMA’s issues to discuss with legislators will include:

  1. The link between aviation and tourism
  2. Clean drinking water support, PFAS legislation
  3. Growing commercial flight offerings – air service initiatives
  4. Alternative project delivery: Construction Manager at Risk
  5. Aviation and economic development

Please register and send a meeting request to your legislators today. You can determine your legislators HERE. It is best to call the legislator’s office to get the email of the staff in charge of scheduling.
