WAMA is offering an Airport 101 training course on Sept. 10 at the Central Wisconsin Airport in Mosinee.

Tailored to new airport professionals and incoming public officials, this class will enhance the individual’s understanding of the aviation story, airport management issues, current challenges industry leaders face, and strategies for implementing sensible strategic plans or goals. It is designed to present new airport board members or commissioners, senior and mid-level airport executives, and entry-level staff with a substantive and thoughtful review of the airport industry.

The course is led by instructor Dr. Kim Kenville, senior consultant at ADK Consulting & Executive Search. Before joining ADK, Dr. Kenville spent more than 27 years as a professor at the University of North Dakota (UND), where she led the airport management curriculum and played a pivotal role in the development of UND’s Master of Aviation and Aerospace Sciences and Ph.D. programs.

Course Details

  • Date: Wednesday, Sept. 10
  • Time: 9 am to 4 pm (with a one hour break for lunch)
  • Location: Central Wisconsin Airport, 100 CWA Drive, Mosinee, WI
  • WAMA Member Rate: $100
  • Non-member Rate: $175

Any checks should be made payable to the Wisconsin Airport Management Association and mailed to WAMA at 3800 Starr Ave., Eau Claire, WI 54703.

Training registration fees are non-refundable but may be transferred to another employee.

Special Offer for Non-Members
Non-members who register for the Airport 101 training will subsequently receive a complimentary WAMA membership for 2025, entitling them to discounted registration for the Wisconsin Aviation Conference in La Crosse. 

Lunch
Lunch is not provided, but there will be a one-hour break at noon for lunch on your own.

Parking
Parking is available in the main airport parking lot. Bring your parking ticket to class for validation. 

The training room is public, and Conference Room A/B is on the second floor above the baggage claim. No escorts are needed.

There is a small amount of refrigerator space available for use.
